where are you guys flying out from? If your flying out of the western coastal states; like Washington, Oregon, CA, or Arizona; a couple of weeks back Hawaiian Airlines had a really cheap roundtrip fare for $300, so the break down of the fare was $134.00 one-way. Hawiian flys out of; Sacramento, SFO, Oakland, San Jose, Portland, Seattle, Phoenix, San Diego, LA.

Alaska Airlines now offers non-stop flights to Honolulu from Portland and Seattle.

However, if your flying out of the Eastern part of the U.S., the only airline that I can think of that flies nonstop would be United from Chicago O' hare (8 hour flight).

What Island are you planning on going to? The price per night in the hotel thats if you book early in advanced I'd say is around $250 to $350 a night; this is more of the upscale hotels. There are other hotels that are cheaper than this.
References :
Since we don't know where you're flying from, we can't really answer the question. However, budget $150/night for decent hotel (you can go less, but why?), $50/day for car (includes taxes), and whatever you're willing to spend on food (go to Times to make it yourself, or eat out all the time).
Too many variables to answer with any accuracy.
References :
Personal Experience

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
References :
www,BookMe,com
