what is a great affordable hotel and in a great location in Oahu, Hawaii?

My favorite hotel is the Pacific Beach Hotel. It is located on Kalakaua and Liliuokalani Ave. Kalakaua is the main street, and the waikiki beach is right across the street from the hotel.
Transportation is right there, if you want to go on tours, the tour bus usually meets right there at the "aloha welcome center" (a little cafe that has food and drinks there.)
The Pacific Beach has two towers, the Beach Tower (in front) and the Oceanarium Tower right behind it. In the Oceanarium Tower, there is the world's largest indoor aquarium!! It is an amazing 280,000 gallon 3-story aquarium. It goes from the Oceanarium Buffet Breakfast on the main floor and up two more restaurants.
The food in the Oceanarium Buffet is really good and filling!! We usually get rooms located in the Oceanarium Tower (partial oceanview room at least on the 12th floor or higher.). We get the rooms facing Diamond Head and the beach. The tradewinds are really good on that side!!

cant have 'em both! affordable, go through pleasant hawaiian holidays tours. theyve been doing it since hawaii became a state and they got it down to a science.Almost any hotel on the beach side of kalakawa is a great hotel IF you got a ton of money.

Know anyone that lives here? If so, ask them to get you the Kama'aina rates (rates for residents). I usually check my parents into the Ala Moana hotel with the Kama'aina rate and they really like the hotel.
