Actor moving to Oahu, Hawaii?

Hey, 3 questions
I’ve been wanting to get out of florida to pursue acting and I can’t afford to live in N.Y. or Cali. by myself, but I’m going to be living rent-free in Hawaii (for about 2-3 years with military family) so I’m going for it.
1) Is that a realistic place to pursue an acting career (more film than theatre) or am I just going to be stuck as a tour guide? 2.)Also, can I make good money as a waitress/bartender? (i have no experience with neither)
3.)Anyone know of any legit work at home jobs in Hawaii?

I know people who work as extras, but I think it is pretty dificult to get speaking parts in films. Most of the folks who get those roles are brought in from Hollywood. There is some call for people to do commercials, but often those jobs will go to folks who look "local". I’m thinking it’s not going to be easy.

As far as jobs in the restaurant industry, there are lots of them available, & with tips you can make pretty good money. For bartending, you will probably have to go to school.

Good luck!

As far as local jobs go, I would try to keep doing whatever you’re doing now. At least until you find something better.

    Good luck.
